Helping great causes

This Christmas we’re hoping to spread a little goodwill - and help some great causes - by giving £20 to charity on your behalf.

We’ve chosen four worthy charities to represent our business units around the world. Here’s a little about the chosen charities. Please take a look and then select the one that you would like your donation to go to.

Charities

Save the Children

For over a century, Save the Children has been improving the lives of children worldwide. Their current priorities are to:

  • Protect children affected by humanitarian emergencies from disease and hunger
  • Tackle pneumonia, the biggest infectious killer of children
  • Fight malnutrition, and feed thousands of children in Yemen

Médecins Sans Frontières

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, provides expert medical assistance to those affected by conflict, epidemics and disasters in over 70 countries. Last year they:

  • Conducted 9.9 million outpatient consultations
  • Treated 2,69 million cases of malaria
  • Admitted 877,300 patients around the world

The Pret Foundation

The Pret Foundation tackles hunger, poverty and homelessness around the world by making sure their surplus food reaches people who need it. During Christmas 2020, The Pret Foundation:

  • Delivered over 2.5 tonnes weekly of fresh fruit and vegetables to The Felix Project
  • Provided 50,000 meals to vulnerable children and families
  • Received 50p from Pret for every Christmas lunch sandwich sold

Anti-Slavery International

Anti-Slavery International supports adults and children affected by slavery and campaigns to change the social, economic, legal, and politics that trap them. Last year they:

  • Removed forced labour from supply chains in the EU
  • Fought slavery in cotton production in Uzbekistan and China
  • Helped to free people born into slavery in Mauritania
