As some of you will know, last year saw the beginning of another exciting chapter for Equal Experts when we opened an office in Sydney.

Since that time, we’ve been working with our first client Xinja, sponsoring YOW! conferences and holding ExpertTalks Meetups in Melbourne and Sydney.

Over the next month, we’ll be back in Sydney for some more events, and to help recruit new people as we build up our presence in Australia.

This event is focusing on applied functional programming in languages such as Clojure, Scala, Haskell, Erlang and F#. Come along and see us at the coffee cart (which we’re sponsoring), where as well as being able to meet us, we’ll also be giving away branded keep-cups. My colleagues Matt Childs and Diane Cotterill, who are both working hard on the recruitment side of things, will be in Sydney, too, as will Bethan Timmins, who is our Principal Consultant in Australia. We’d all love to meet you if you’re interested in finding out more about Equal Experts and about what we’re doing at Xinja. We’re currently looking for experienced Scala and Java software developers, DevOps, BAs, QAs and UXers.
