About this event

Andy Gray will be discussing:
– where blockchains came from
– why they got hyped up (and you got bored of hearing about them)
– why they are still surviving even though you don’t hear about them as much.

After the talk there will be an interactive virtual Fishbowl for you to ask questions and discuss with Andy and James Morgan

With over 20 years commercial experience developing enterprise IT systems I am now primarily focussed on emerging Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies. #decentralise

I am co-founder and director of; a Manchester based Blockchain consultancy and engineering company.
We also run a popular community group: Blockchain Manchester.

Technically we have been developing decentralised applications (Dapps) with Solidity smart contracts, Truffle, and Web 3.0 tech for over two years. This technology is in its infancy but I believe it offers a new way to think about how to deliver solutions to the modern marketplace.

We have built and delivered the following products: KnownOrigin,,, and many more bespoke innovative solutions.

Before BlockRocket I was an Equal Experts associate consultant and worked with the award-winning Coop Digital team transforming the Funeralcare business.

I work with teams heavily involved test driven lean agile implementations. Through practical application I understand how this methodology can lead to significant benefits in quality and productivity.
