Congratulations to the Home Office for winning the Best Public Sector Project of the Year in the Computer Weekly European User Awards 2015, for the UKVI Online Application Service.

The Computer Weekly European User Awards honour IT professionals across Europe who have excelled in their use of technology. Some 130 entries were narrowed down to a shortlist of 50 finalists.

Equal Experts supports the Home Office in delivering the UKVI Online Application Service. Judges said: “The Home Office is a deserving winner for such a forward-thinking and creative project. Equal Experts show originality and freshness with their ideas and what the organisation saves as a result.”

“We are extremely proud to have won this award. The UKVI Online Application Service is a really positive step forwards for customers – it provides a more intuitive, easy to use, online process for customers applying for a visa from the UK or abroad. The technical solution that supports the UKVI Online Application Service is a great step in the right direction as well. It gives us the foundation to pursue our vision of rationalising our IT estate, and generate significant cost savings for the Home Office.” – Jackie Keane, IPT Programme Director, the Home Office.

Thomas Granier, CEO and Founder of Equal Experts, added “It’s great to get this kind of recognition – I would like to thank the Home Office for giving us the opportunity to work together with them to build a complete end-to-end delivery capability within the IPT programme that can now be leveraged to deliver additional visa products to complete the Home Office roadmap.”

The UKVI Online Application Service is part of the Immigration Platform Technologies (IPT) Programme, which is delivering the technology and information to support the immigration service now and in the future.
